Viera to continue his journey in Beijing FC

Jonathan Viera returned to Beijing for a medical check on 23 August to have his rib injury inspected. Despite of the promising recovery made by the Spaniard so far, the medical team believed that he would have to go through a second inspection in five weeks to determine when he can return to the pitch. Viera suffered from a rib fracture in the home game against Beijing Renhe.

After the inspection, the club completed the contract extention with Viera, which would make our star midfielder continue his career at the club until the end of 2021. Viera joined Beijing Sinobo Guoan FC in 2018 season and became one of the playmakers. In the second leg of 2018 CFA Cup finals, Viera scored one of the two goals and helped the team lift the trophy again after 15 years. We wish Viera all the best to his recovery and hope to see him in action very soon.
