'Gaocanxiao' Football Carnival

On 10 November 2018, the Beijing Sinobo Guoan 'Gaocanxiao' (Chinese abbreviation of 'higher joins primary', the educational project combining higher education institutes, non-governmental social sectors, and primary schools in beijing) Football Carnival inaugurated in Beijing Pinggu Sports Centre. Accompanied by their parents, 400 primary school students participated in various football-based games and tests, enjoying the excitement of the sport. The club's Deputy General Ganager Zhang Zhijun, Director of Youth Development Wei Kexing, and Deputy Director of Youth Development Yang Pu attended the event in the presence of representatives of the 'Gaocanxiao' programme.

The 'Gaocanxiao' programme was initiated in the beginning of 2014, of which Beijing Sinobo Guoan FC has been the only cooperative party representing non-governmental social sectors that facilitates the development of school football in Pinggu District.

During the past four years, Beijing Sinobo Guoan FC capitalised on its sports resource and worked with five primary schools featuring more than three thousand students. As the cooperation progressed, the competitive level of Pinggu school football was also improved. 'Gaocanxiao' schools were able to reach the second place in the CSL Future Star Tournament in Beijing, as well as the first place in the Beijing Middle and Primary School Football League. Three players were admitted to the club's youth academy.

'In the past four years, many teachers and students in this programme was introduced to football and fall in love with it, and the sport has been able to develop its popularity in Pinggu,' said Deputy General Manager Zhang Zhijun in his opening speech. 'I wish to demonstrate our results of the past few years in today's event and to give our students an enjoyable time playing football. The football culture is the foundation of future development, and it is exactly the very core of this programme.'

As a local club, Beijing Sinobo Guoan FC is obliged to promote school football in the city. In addition to the success of the 'Gaocanxiao' programme, the club has cooperated with the Beijing Municipal Education Committee to launch the 'Small Game · Big Dream' project and promote football to 116 primary schools in Beijing. We would like to have more children in local schools to experience, enjoy, and love football.
